Forest │ NEX-7 + Nikkor 50mm F1.4 AI │ 50mm F2.0 1/125s ISO1600With the onset of rainy weather once again it's time to head indoors. At this gathering I was looking for a unique vantage point when I noticed that I wasn't the first one. For this shot I had time to attach my old, manual focus Nikon 50mm F1.4 Ai lens. At the moment it's the only fast (close to) portrait focal length that I have. I wish it were sharper wide open; as it is I'm forced to stop the lens down to F2.0. It's a great focal length though.

Nicely seen...Just what were you doing to be that low down and not to be noticed by the young girl..Pretending to be tying your shoe laces I suppose!
This I am sure works better in B/W your attention is drawn to the girls face as it is the main highlight of the picture.
Miserable weather today here in the UK...I suspect you might be getting the same as you have taken cover for this one.
That's what makes a great photographer. Risking any position just to get a good shot.. ;)
Claudia,
It wasn't too much of a risk: I might have gotten kicked or stepped on; most likely I just looked foolish down there ;-)
Barry,
Thanks Barry. Once I took the photo, the girl noticed me, probably due to the click of the shutter. But before that I didn't even have to fiddle with my shoe laces to go unnoticed. I'd been taking photos for a while and I guess everyone was slowly getting used to that.
Nice of you to send your miserable weather over again.
Very interesting image.
Hey, thanks Djordje
