Under my Feet

Flow │ NEX-7 + Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* E24mm F1.8 ZA │ 24mm F2.5 1/500s ISO100Sometimes I escape into a world of tiny details. On those days I don't need to go far as this world is literally right below my feet as soon as I step outside the door. Normally I trample right on over it, but on occasion it draws me in. When it does, I'm so captivated that I don't notice much else: like how cold my hands have become.

Excellent images Bjorn. Wonderful colors and textures. I am following Your recent posts about NEX and in next few days will probably buy second hand NEX-3. I like the output from NEX cameras.

Definitely taken today...Your weather is identical to ours!...Woke up to the same heavy hoar frost.
That 24mm lens really allows you to get in close...All shots were very nicely seen and nicely cropped to match each over. They make a nice panel of 4...But the 2nd, 3rd and 4th hang better together for me and make an even nicer triptych.
Look forward to seeing your snow shots tomorrow...As it is bitter here.
Cheers Barry

Hi Bjorn

I had to put my gloves and hat on to view those great photos!

Got to agree with Barry...there is so much going on in them, they are really nice.

I must look at my feet more often when carrying my camera. Thanks for the inspiration.

Tom

The 4th shot is my favorite - Great Series!

Barry,
Thanks. Subconsciously I must have known that the first images doesn't work as part of the set, otherwise I wouldn't have used text to separate it from the others. The photos are only cropped minimally; I composed them in a screen filling 16:9 aspect ratio. Ever since my LX1 I've had a fondness for the format.

Tom,
It always pays to look at what's happening down on the ground every once in a while when you're carrying expensive gear ;-) Glad you liked the photos.

Joan,
Nice to hear from you! I almost didn't include the 4th shot. I wasn't sure if it worked with the others as it's the only one without a dense plant texture. Good thing that I didn't listen to myself.

Hi Djordje,
Yes the output is outstanding. I'm warning you though, once you get a NEX-3, there will be no turning back ;-)

Hi, Bjorn. I bought NEX-3 yesterday. I didnt have much time to play with it, but so far I like it. I decided to create separate page for my NEX-3 images. If You want have a look at: http://www.pbase.com/jevtovic/nex3 . Cheers.

Oh no, that's how my whole NEX adventure started for me as well - with a NEX-3. Then I traded it in for a NEX-5N, got a few more lenses, and eventually liked the experience so much that I couldn't resist the NEX-7. It's also very difficult to go back to Micro Four Thirds after you get used to the image quality from the APS-C sensor. But you already know that from your D40. I'll have a look at your images on PBase. Cheers.
