I felt I could hear it creak under the load as I was confronted with annoying rotating circles and “please wait” messages. I hate waiting. Eventually I had enough and decided to build a new system. So here I am, surrounded by cryptic instruction manuals, dozens of cables and boxes full of components. Wish me luck.

In other words: fanciful designs aimed at making a product look more sophisticated than it is – or as sophisticated as it is - so they can charge more for it.
