Overexposed

Bands │ GF1 + Lumix 7-14mm F4.0 │ 7mm F5.6 1/400s ISO100The sun was really beating down and keeping the whites from overexposing led to very unsatisfying results; the colours on the undersides of the balconies becoming muddy and dark. But this school is really about the irregular coloured bands, so I changed strategy. Metering on the underside of the balconies brought back the vivid colours. Even better, pure white areas now separated them into individual bands, lending the photo an abstract quality. The only thing left to do was to remove the bright blue sky when I got home.
