Sort of Flag │ GF1 + Lumix 7-14mm F4.0 │ 13mm F5.6 1/320s ISO100Well it seems as if the cold, northerly winds have kept the dreaded ash “cloud” over the Atlantic long enough for me to be able to fly to Japan tomorrow morning. I’ll be flying through Singapore and will arrive in Tokyo late on Saturday. Now that I’ve switched to the Micro Four Thirds system, my camera and assorted lenses take up a lot less space in my luggage. Unfortunately, a small laptop has taken up that space, so I’m still lugging around just as much as before. But that does mean I will be able to post regular updates to this blog while I’m on the road.
The photo in this post is as close as I could get to anything Japanese, it being a circular red shape in a white square. I suspect that the real thing will prove to be a lot more inspiring.

What I liked was how the street reflection was composed within the circle.
